An-Najah Convenes Public Forum on Building Support for a 100% Renewable Energy Future
12 November 2025
An-Najah National University organized a public forum examining how universities, municipalities, businesses and community organizations could work together to promote a transition toward 100% renewable energy.
The forum featured presentations and moderated discussions on renewable-energy opportunities, public participation and the importance of connecting long-term commitments with practical implementation. Speakers examined the roles of technical expertise, financing, public communication and institutional cooperation.
An-Najah presented its public renewable-energy pledge as a framework for encouraging wider support beyond campus. Participants discussed how external organizations could communicate their own support and identify actions appropriate to their facilities and responsibilities.
The concluding discussion focused on maintaining engagement through shared awareness materials, further meetings and the exchange of practical experience. Participants were invited to contribute to a public statement supporting the renewable-energy transition.
The forum reinforced the University’s role as a convenor of public energy discussions and provided a platform for developing broader commitment across different sectors.
